¡Volvimos después de tanto tiempo!

Se suponía que íbamos a actualizar todas las semanas, pero la verdad es que queremos preparar buenas entradas para ustedes y eso lleva tiempo. Sobre todo ahora que reanudamos nuestras actividades académicas y algunos proyectos personales también reclaman mucho de nuestro tiempo y atención. 

We are finally back after such a long time! 

We were supposed to update every week, but the truth is that we want to make good entries for you, and that takes a loooot of time; especially now that we are back on the road with our academic life and some personal projects are claiming our time and attention. 

Sin embargo, no hemos estado ociosas. En estos meses visitamos muchos lugares y nos gustaría contarles por dónde estuvimos. Van a notar que vamos adelante y atrás en los meses y es que no estamos escribiendo las entradas cronológicamente. ¡Esperamos no marearlos!

However, we haven't been lazy at all. During these months, we have visited a bunch of places and we would like to tell you a bit about it. You might notice that we go back and forth in the timeline and that's because we are not writing our adventures chronologically. So don't get confused!

Highlight of the Week: Vasalissa Chocolatier

Es muy común de nosotras que para algunos días festivos, nos regalemos algo de esta tienda.
Dentro de esas bolsas de papel, con ese estampado Toile de Jouy, los vendedores entregan al cliente bocados sofisticados y deliciosos como pocos en Buenos Aires.

More often than not we buy something for each other at this store, especially for the holidays.
Inside those Toile de Jouy patterned bags, the shop assistants give the customer such sophisticated delights that it's hard you'd find something like this somewhere else in Buenos Aires.

Si hay algo que necesitan saber de nosotras es que nos gusta el té. Muchísimo.

You see, tea is not just an infusion, it's the moment it creates too. The memory wrapping around it, the people you share it with. The music we listen to when we drink it. The season that peeps out from the window, while our fingers hold the cup and take a look to the outside world.

Lunes.

¿A quién le gustan los lunes?

La ciudad se despierta con su usual bullicio y con ella despertamos nosotros, aún entumecidos de delicioso ocio dominguero; para cumplir con nuestras obligaciones laborales o académicas. O ambas.

Odio los lunes.

Al menos eso es lo que pensaba hasta que, el lunes 30 de junio, Yeonnie y yo tuvimos la idea de  desayunar en La Boutique de Jean Paul.

Who likes Mondays?
The city wakes up to its usual hustle and we wake up with it, still numb from the delicious Sunday leisure to fulfil our business or academic obligations. Or both.
I hate Mondays.
At least, that's what I thought until on June 30th (that was a Monday) Yeonnie and I had this great idea: We'd have breakfast at "La Boutique de Jean Paul."

Ubicado a la vuelta del Alvear Palace Hotel, sobre la calle Ayacucho, este espacio gourmet -casi un anexo del lujoso hotel- sirvió de encanto matutino a estas dos muchachas que, decididas a mostrar los mejores lugares de su a veces subestimada ciudad, les traen una review de quizás uno de los mejores desayunos que hayan probado.
Located just around the corner of Alvear Palace Hotel, on Ayacucho Street, this gourmet heaven -almost an addition to the luxurious hotel- served as a morning charm for these two girls who, determined to show the best places of their sometimes underestimated city, bring to you a review of, maybe, one of the best breakfasts we have ever had.
